Schmeltzer - Emma Middleton

Mrs. Emma B. Schmeltzer, 61, wife of J.C. (Cap) Schmeltzer, died at their home northeast of the city on Crawfordsville RFD 5, at 7:30 o'clock last night after an extended illness of one year's duration with a complication of diseases. Mrs. Schmeltzer was born Nov 7, 1879, a daughter of Robert and Cynthia Kepler Middleton. She was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church. Surviving, in addition to the husband, are several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Thursday morning at St. Bernard's Catholic Church with Rev. JC Keating in charge. Burial will be made at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at the Utterback and Murphy Funeral Home as the body will be kept there preceding the services at the church. - kbz
